Tag

IRFU - modified for Corporate Games A team is 7 a side. A “Tackle” is the removal of a ‘Tag” which is attached to a players shorts. After a ‘tag’ the ball is rolled through the legs to the scrum half who must pass after 1 step. Defenders must retire quickly 10 metres from any penalty. After 6 tags the ball is given to the opposition. If the ball is passed forward or is dropped the ball is given to the opposition. For start of each half, restarts after a try, or penalty the ball is tapped and passed. A ‘Try’ is scored by grounding the ball over the scoreline and is worth 1 point.

Regulations

Teams are scheduled a minimum of 3 matches of at least 16 minutes each. Competition is pool play followed by elimination tournament. Squad Size Min 9 Max 11 including management. Rolling substitution. Teams must have no more than 4 players of each sex on the field. No goalposts. Grass fields. Running shoes or bare foot, NO studs at all. Match balls supplied. Specific Competition Details will be provided at Registration.

Numbered matching shirts are required. Tags and belts will be supplied.
